Hand sanitizer gel is great for fighting germs, not only does it require less time than hand washing but it also acts quickly to kill microorganisms on your hands and reduces bacterial counts.

With the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, it’s not surprising that many people are taking extra steps to stay safe, including stocking up on sanitizing sprays, gels and soaps.

If you’re not able to wash your hands then hand sanitizer is a must, it is more accessible than sinks and for some people it is more irritating to skin than soap and water and some can even improve the condition of your skin.

While during this time of crisis, the traditional method of washing your hands with soap and water is recommended to help to stop coronavirus spreading, if you don’t have access to soap and water then a hand sanitizer gel is a great alternative.

It is recommended to use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol but you should always supervise young children when they use hand sanitizer to prevent them from swallowing alcohol.

To apply hand sanitizer gel, you should put enough product on your hands to cover all surfaces. Then rub your hands together, until they feel dry which should take around 20 seconds. Then make sure that you don’t rinse or wipe off the hand sanitizer before it’s dry as it may not work as well against germs.
